Il Tramonto All'Alba (Sunset At Dawn)

Italy's mystical improviser IOIOI and Australia's blackened mono shamanic audiomancer GRIST decide to collaborate in a unique way: each one of them would create a mono piece around 20 minutes long, and then the two separate pieces would be overlaid, one in the left channel, and one in the right. Then these two pieces slowly cross the stereo spectrum, until the pieces end up in the opposite channel - meaning that, for one split second at around the 10-minute mark, the two pieces are united in a single mono point of tension. This piece subtly evokes the dualism of all things, and yet how simultaneously, all dualities dwell on a single plane - that All Is One. Created in both the north and the south, by the female and the male, in the day and the night - this is the digitalchemy of UNIFICATION.
